The Unyielding Shore (Commission)

This commissioned piece was created as a special Christmas gift for a colleague’s daughter. She requested a seascape in soft, muted tones to complement the gentle colour palette of her home. The painting features a serene grey sky with layered clouds and a calm sea, where only a few subtle waves roll toward the shore.

To bring the scene to life, I added a small fishing boat resting on the water, offering a quiet focal point without disturbing the peaceful mood. The shoreline is textured with a blend of fine sand and shale collected from the local beach, adding natural depth and authenticity to the piece.
