Original Tranquil Seascape Paintings

These original paintings are for anyone who loves the sea.  The bright blue skies, the beautiful colours of a sunset and seagulls soaring overhead.  If the coast gives you feelings of tranquillity, peace and a calm mind, then this artwork is for you.

I paint on premium cotton stretched block canvases as I like the quality.  Each canvas is primed 4 times to give a good base layer.  Acrylic paint and mixed media is applied.  I love the texture that Polyfilla gives creating waves and the acrylic paint seals the Polyfilla when it has dried.  I often like to add shale from the beach too, as it gives the painting a realistic feel and adds texture.  Finer details are added to bring the painting alive and each painting is varnished with a matt varnish.

Prints of these original paintings are available as prints, in various sizes, mounted with a frame choice.
